Welcome to the MaxAir BMX Blog. I am assuming you have logged on to this because your son or daughter has "encouraged" you to do so or you have read our letter to parents. Remember that first ride on your bike - what a day. Well, I am a cycling enthusiast still in my 40's. Actually, I love anything with two wheels with or without motors. Anyway, Sean (alias SeanX) has followed in the old fella's footsteps a bit and expressed interest in racing bmx and riding local parks. As of this writing, Jessica (alias "Hot Wheels") hasn't raced yet due to her schedule but she is also excited about racing and wants to help with the website, photo's and editorials. We started riding Etnies in Lake Forest and racing at the local track, Orange Y and along with a friend, Jim DuCharme, thought it would be a good idea to develop a local team as it is always more fun with friends. I encourage you to allow your child to join on in. It can basically be a low budget or expensive as you like and the kids really have a lot of fun. We are still getting organized and will finalize a name, jersey and sponsors shortly. Morning Ride BMX, Lake Forest (in the new shopping center on El Toro behind Fuddruckers) has agreed to sponsor us. The owner and his wife started the company about a year ago. Check them out as I also look at this as a way to get our local businesses some exposure. Sorry for the length. Shoot me an email or call if you have any questions or want to make arrangements to ride.
Please take some time to read our MaxAir BMX Team Mission Statement and Member Code of Conduct.
